Fun fact:

In Floet, a part of the river that looks like a little fjord, you might actually catch herring if you're lucky! This "river herring" has developed and evolved for thousands of years totally unaffected by the regular ocean herring. In 2004 a lucky Swedish tourist caught a halibut at 60 kilos ( ca. 120 pounds) in this part of the river If you'd like to know more about the "river herring" or the other unusual catch, please contact Gaute Myrvang.
